YX, EYXC and EYTNXC Electrical-Contact Pressure Gauges

Description

Pressure indication and adjustable limit switching

These mechanical gauges combine local pressure indication with upper- and lower-limit electrical contacts. A green pointer sets the lower limit and a red pointer sets the upper limit. The contacts provide signals for external relay, alarm or control circuits in water supply, compressed-air, hydraulic and general industrial equipment.

Direct-contact versions suit basic switching duties. Magnetic-assisted versions improve contact engagement and switching stability. Dry cases suit stable installations, while liquid-filled vibration-resistant versions provide damping for equipment exposed to vibration and pressure pulsation.

YX-60 uses a bottom radial connection, weighs approximately 168.6g and operates at ≤85% relative humidity. Its temperature influence is ≤0.4% per 10°C departure from 20±5°C. Voltage, current and VA limits must all be satisfied by the connected load.

EYXC-100 positive-pressure full-scale choices are 0.1, 0.16, 0.25, 0.4, 0.6, 1, 1.6, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 40 and 60MPa. Dial layout, thread, materials, span and accuracy can be customized. Factory checks include a 1.3×FS overpressure test and more than 1,000 pressure/leak-test cycles; these test conditions are separate from working-pressure limits.

The wider family offers customized spans within -0.1 to 100MPa, accuracy classes 1.0, 1.6 or 2.5, and contact capacities of 10VA direct, 30VA magnetic-assisted or 50VA high-capacity magnetic-assisted. Contact voltage is selected as up to 220VAC or up to 380VAC according to the nameplate. Choose these options as a matched configuration.

Contact mechanism and sensing assembly

Electrical-contact pressure gauge internal contact assembly
The contact assembly links pointer travel with the adjustable pressure limits.
EYXC-100 brass movement and widened Bourdon tube with a 14.2mm reference dimension
The Bourdon tube drives the brass movement; the illustrated tube carries a 14.2mm width reference.
EYXC-100 brass process connection and removable pressure-damping insert
The connection includes a damping insert to reduce pressure shocks reaching the mechanism.

Electrical connection

Setting and operating limits

Disconnect electrical power before opening the terminal box or changing settings. Press and turn the red knob to adjust the lower green pointer, release it, then engage and adjust the upper red pointer. Keep the upper setpoint above the lower setpoint. Verify switching with a stable pressure source: H conducts at the upper limit during pressure rise, and L conducts at the lower limit during pressure reduction.

Keep steady pressure below two-thirds of full scale, alternating pressure below one-half and momentary pressure below three-quarters. Use media compatible with copper alloys. Select a vibration-resistant version and suitable damping for severe vibration. Professional calibration and contact checks are recommended every six months.
