YTNL Refrigerant Pressure Gauges for HVAC Service

Description

High- and low-side pressure indication

YTNL refrigerant gauges support air-conditioning installation, charging, leak checks and refrigeration maintenance. Separate high- and low-side configurations provide pressure and refrigerant-temperature scales for manifold equipment, compressors, evaporators and condensers. Choose the dial calibrated for the refrigerant and pressure range in use.

A 304 stainless steel case, copper-alloy Bourdon tube and movement, and polycarbonate window form the measuring assembly. Silicone-oil filling damps pointer movement, while a damping screw reduces the effect of pressure pulsation.

Pressure-scale configurations

Scale configurationLow-side versionHigh-side version
YTNL-60ZT MPa scale-0.1 to 2.5MPa-0.1 to 3.8MPa
kgf/cm² / psi scale0–35kgf/cm² / 0–500psi, with a separate vacuum sector0–55kgf/cm² / 0–800psi
bar / psi scale-1 to 16bar; positive scale to approximately 230psi-1 to 35bar; positive scale to approximately 500psi

These are different dial configurations. Vacuum sectors may be marked in cmHg or inHg; read the unit beside the relevant sector. Choose the actual pressure and refrigerant scales for each gauge position. The high- and low-side versions are separate instruments.

Movement and connection details

Refrigerant gauge copper-alloy Bourdon tube and mechanical movement
The Bourdon tube and movement convert refrigerant pressure into pointer travel.

The rear connection includes a damping insert to moderate pressure pulsation.

Mounting and service

Radial, axial, axial front-flange and radial rear-flange mounting arrangements are available across the family. The illustrated flanged YTNL-60ZT has a 15.6mm threaded projection and a 31.1mm case radius. Specify mounting, thread, pressure range, units and refrigerant scale together.

For steady pressure, use up to three-quarters of full scale; for fluctuating pressure, use up to two-thirds. Wait for the damped pointer to settle before taking a reading. Keep the eye level with the pointer and read the matching refrigerant-temperature scale.

Check zero while unpressurized. Stop using a gauge with persistent pointer oscillation, sticking, zero displacement or leaking/cloudy filling oil. Inspect the case and connection regularly and arrange professional calibration every 6–12 months.
