YE Capsule Gauges for Low Gas Pressure

Description

Sensitive mechanical indication at low pressure

YE gauges use a corrugated capsule that deforms with pressure. A mechanical transmission amplifies the displacement and moves the pointer, providing local indication for ventilation ducts, HVAC equipment, laboratory air systems and low-pressure process monitoring.

Nominal dial diameters of 60mm, 75mm, 100mm and 150mm accommodate different space and reading-distance requirements. YE-60, YE-75 and YE-100 use dry cases without glycerin or silicone-oil fill. The family includes built-in overpressure protection, but the permitted pressure remains limited by the selected instrument rating.

YE-6060mmM20×1.5Class 2.5; nickel-plated steel case; -25°C to 55°C
YE-7575mmG3/8Nickel-plated steel case; dry construction; range and accuracy selected with the configuration
YE-100100mmM20×1.5Class 2.5; nickel-plated steel case; -25°C to 55°C

Pressure spans and scale choices

YE-60 and YE-100 offer zero-based full-scale selections of 1.6, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 40 and 60kPa, with customized ranges available. A lower 0–1kPa scale is also illustrated in the family. Each gauge is calibrated for its own fixed span.

The YE-75 illustrated configuration has a 0–10kPa scale with a second mmH₂O scale. YE-150 examples include 0–6kPa, 0–10kPa and 0–60kPa, with additional low-pressure and negative-pressure selections available according to the ordered build. Choose a range that suits normal pressure and expected transients.

Match the process thread and wetted-material compatibility to the installation.

The YE-150 uses its tin-phosphor-bronze capsule as the sensitive measuring element and a brass process connection. Install this model vertically. Select clean media compatible with the pressure path and avoid crystallizing or solidifying material that can obstruct the low-pressure sensing system.

Choosing a gauge for the application

Select the nominal dial for available space and visibility, then specify the measuring span, connection and material compatibility. For gas or combustion-system service, use a configuration approved for the particular medium and operating conditions. Keep the inlet pressure within the selected rating; the presence of overpressure protection does not define an additional permissible overload.
