WSS thermometers use a bimetal sensing element to drive a local pointer without external power. They measure compatible liquids, steam and gases in boilers, process piping, water systems, heat exchangers and industrial equipment. Axial, radial and universal-angle constructions position the dial for convenient reading.
Choose the calibrated temperature span, insertion length and process connection for the installation. Available spans fall within -40°C to 600°C; the complete family envelope is separate from the range printed on an individual dial.

WSSP combines local mechanical indication with a remote temperature signal. The standard configuration is two-wire Pt100, with three-wire Pt100 or 4–20mA options. Choose a sensor connection head or an aviation-style plug connector.
WSSX combines local indication with electrical contacts and a junction-box connection. Match the contact circuit to the supplied instrument's switching rating.
Both versions offer 60mm, 100mm and 150mm dials, 6mm or 10mm protective tubes, axial/radial/universal orientations, M16×1.5 or M27×2 threads, class 1.5 accuracy, IP55 protection and a 100mm reference stem. Their remote and contact functions are separate ordering choices.
Immerse the entire sensing section and specify enough stem length for the pipe or vessel. General insertion guidance is greater than 100mm, or greater than 150mm for a 0–50°C configuration; choose an extended stem where required. Protect the tube from impact and bending, and tighten the process fitting without using the case as a wrench.
Specify dial size, orientation, output, calibrated range, stem length, connection and materials together. The example WSSNP-581BF selects the bimetal strip construction, vibration-resistant filling, remote output, 150mm dial, universal orientation, adjustable male thread and stainless corrosion-resistant construction. Confirm the remote-signal option and process conditions when ordering.
