Quartz-Protected Thermocouples for Molten Metals and Alloys

Description

Double protection for molten metal measurement

A special high-temperature quartz outer tube surrounds a smaller corundum or quartz inner tube. A protective atmosphere within this double nonmetallic construction helps protect the sensing element during direct insertion into molten copper, aluminum, copper-nickel or aluminum-nickel alloys. The thermocouple assembly inside uses a corundum tube or a sheathed construction.
