These side-mounted level switches use a hinged magnetic float to actuate a reed contact as the liquid level changes. PVDF bodies and floats provide a material option for chemical-processing equipment, liquid storage and water-treatment systems where the medium is compatible with the complete assembly.
The horizontal mounting arrangement suits tanks with limited vertical space. A smooth float surface helps reduce deposits that could interfere with movement. Select the precise model, thread and contact rating for the installation.
| Parameter | ELEC4 | ELEC6 |
|---|---|---|
| Body and float material | PVDF | PVDF |
| Thread-size designation | 3/8in | 1/2in |
| Approximate weight | 33.3g | 33g |
| Operating temperature | −20–60°C | −20–60°C |
Confirm the actual thread standard, pitch and mating opening before ordering either model. The installation must provide clearance for the float’s complete operating arc.
| Parameter | 1A1 | 2A1 |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum contact rating | 10VA | 20VA |
| Maximum switching voltage | 100VAC/DC | 220VAC/DC |
| Maximum switching current | 0.5A | 1.5A |
| Breakdown-voltage reference | 110VAC/DC | 300VAC/DC |
| Maximum contact resistance | 100mΩ | 100mΩ |
Observe power, voltage and current limits simultaneously. Breakdown voltage is separate from the permitted switching voltage. Use a suitable receiving relay or contactor for loads beyond the float contact’s rating.

LSYZ-1-PVDF is a separate dimensional and electrical configuration with gray PVDF body, float and nut, a silicone sealing washer and 400mm gray UL1007 lead wires. Its mounting thread is M16. Reference dimensions are 106mm overall, 70mm from float tip to body, Ø17.5mm float diameter and a 45° movement angle.

|---|---|
| Contact form | A |
| Maximum contact power | 10W |
| Maximum switching voltage | 100VDC |
| Maximum switching current | 0.5A |
| Minimum breakdown voltage | 220VDC |
| Maximum contact resistance | 100mΩ |
| Minimum insulation resistance | 10¹⁰Ω |
| Electrical life at 5VDC, 10mA | 1×10⁸ operations |
| Sensor operating temperature | −10–85°C |
| Lead-wire specification | UL1007, 22AWG, 80°C |
| Humidity condition | 90%RH below 80°C |
| Shock characteristic | 150g for less than 1ms |
| Vibration characteristic | 20g over 1–2000Hz |
Match the lead-wire temperature limit as well as the sensor’s operating range. The stated electrical life applies to its specified 5VDC, 10mA test condition. Confirm the final M16 thread pitch and installation dimensions from the supplied drawing.

Check the liquid, concentration and temperature against the PVDF body, sealing material and cable. Mount the switch at the required level and verify its contact state through the full float travel before operation. Keep terminations dry and inspect the float periodically for deposits or restricted movement.
