Pt100 Cable Temperature Probes and WZPT-03 RTDs

Description

Platinum resistance sensing for industrial equipment

These Pt100 probes provide a resistance signal that changes with temperature. A stainless steel protective tube encloses the sensing element, and a flexible lead connects it to a compatible temperature controller, indicator or RTD input.

The compact tubular version suits equipment with limited installation space. The WZPT-03 uses a fixed threaded mounting connection for tanks, pipework and other temperature-measurement points. Applications include water and oil monitoring, HVAC equipment, machinery, heating systems and laboratory installations.

Probe length, cable length and terminal configuration can be specified for the installation. Short and long WZPT-03 probe forms are illustrated; match the ordered dimensions to the required measuring depth.

Electrical integration

Connect the probe to a receiving input configured for Pt100 resistance measurement and the supplied lead arrangement. The illustrated cable ends use fork terminals. When the control system requires 4–20mA, 0–10V or RS485, use a compatible external temperature transmitter.

Installation and maintenance

Choose a measuring location that allows the sensing tip to follow the process temperature. Check compatibility between the stainless steel sheath and the liquid or gas, and match the complete probe and cable configuration to the installation temperature.

Secure the connection, protect the lead from mechanical damage and inspect the sensing surface for scale, contamination or wear. Keep the probe clean to maintain thermal contact and a reliable response.
