These vertical level switches combine closed-cell NBR floats with a 304 stainless steel stem and threaded mounting. The lightweight float construction suits compatible liquids with a density below that of water, including oil and alcohol applications. Specify the actual liquid composition, temperature and required buoyancy when selecting a switch.
The NBR float has a reference density of 0.6g/cm³. Its closed-cell structure limits liquid entry into the float interior. The metal stem/body can be customized in 316 stainless steel. A single float provides one level signal; a double-float assembly provides two signals for high/low monitoring or pump control through a receiving control circuit.

Observe voltage, current and contact-power limits together. Use the reed contacts with an appropriately selected receiving relay or controller. Pumps require a suitable relay and contactor or motor starter; the float contact is not a motor-power switch.

The double-float drawing uses L1 for the stem and L2 for the float. The following common values apply to the eight dimensioned double-float models.

Additional double-float models are ES90010-2, ES100010-2 and ES120010-2. Specify the complete stem length, float spacing and sensing elevations for these assemblies. Stem length, float spacing, thread size and cable length can be customized.
Reversing a float changes its normally open or normally closed orientation. The standard low-side closed arrangement closes as the float returns downward to its sensing position and opens as it rises away. Verify the ordered contact state before installation.
The typical single-float control travel is approximately 10mm. Double-float assemblies can provide a 30–50mm or larger level differential, depending on the selected spacing and control circuit. Travel and level differential describe the switching arrangement, rather than measurement accuracy.
Select a small receiving relay for alarm or solenoid control and a suitable contactor for pump power. Keep the floats free of obstructions and specify the liquid, temperature, pressure, mounting direction, thread, cable length and required level differential. Match the complete assembly and installation to the service environment.
