ESC Hinged Stainless Steel Float Level Switches

Description

Compact hinged float sensing

ESC switches mount through a tank wall and use a hinged cylindrical float to actuate an internal magnetic reed switch. The compact structure suits water-treatment equipment, heating systems, small reservoirs and industrial liquid-control equipment. The contact provides a level signal to the receiving control system.

The float and body are stainless steel, with 304 or 316 material options. The assembly also uses engineering plastic and sealing rubber. Lead-wire versions have high-temperature silicone insulation with double-fiber braiding; ESC19 uses a Hirschmann-style connector.

The float pivots as the liquid level changes and operates the reed contact inside the fixed body.

Models and principal dimensions

All dimensions are in mm. The float length is 55.5mm and the fixed sensing tube diameter is 8mm for all six models. Overall length is measured in the folded position shown in the dimensional drawings.

Additional drawing callouts

The following values identify the remaining dimensions in each model's drawing. Keep each set with its matching illustration. Thread pitch for M12, M14 and M16 must match the selected tank fitting.

Installation and use

Provide clearance for the complete hinged movement and keep deposits or obstructions away from the float. Check the actual open/closed contact states at high and low liquid levels before connecting the controller. In heating applications, the level signal can operate a low-water interlock through the receiving control system.

Select the thread, stainless steel grade, sealing materials and wiring for the liquid, temperature and tank conditions. Avoid impact and strong external magnetic fields. Test operation after installation, inspect the float movement regularly and disconnect power before maintenance.
