ES float switches use a ring magnet inside each float to operate a reed contact within the straight stem. A single float provides one sensing point; two floats provide upper and lower level signals for a receiving controller. The passive contacts require no separate sensor supply.
Choose 304 stainless steel for the standard construction or 316 stainless steel where the application requires it. The compact threaded mounting, sealing gasket and welded construction suit vertical installation in tanks, water-treatment equipment, heating systems and industrial reservoirs. Check compatibility with the actual liquid, concentration and temperature.
| Parameter | 1A1 | 2A1 |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum contact rating | 10VA | 50VA |
| Maximum switching voltage | 100VAC/DC | 220VAC/DC |
| Maximum switching current | 0.5A | 1.5A |
| Breakdown-voltage reference | 110VAC/DC | 300VAC/DC |
| Maximum contact resistance | 100mΩ | 100mΩ |
| Switch-body temperature range | −30–120°C | −30–120°C |
Apply voltage, current and contact-power limits together. Use a suitable receiving relay, and a correctly sized contactor for pump or motor control. Breakdown voltage is separate from the maximum switching voltage.
| Configuration | Lead arrangement | Lead temperature limit |
|---|---|---|
| Single float | Two braided high-temperature leads | 120°C |
| Double float | Four PVC leads, approximately 300mm long | 80°C |
The double-float PVC leads have a lower temperature limit than the switch body. Keep every part of the installation within its own rating.

H5 is measured from the upper float’s lower retaining-clip plane to the bottom end of the stem. The 38mm H5 options place both floats within a compact lower section of the stem. Specify custom lengths and switching elevations before manufacture.
Install vertically with adequate clearance around both floats. Confirm each contact’s state at low and high levels before connecting the controller. Keep the sensing points away from external magnetic fields, and prevent deposits or debris from blocking the float travel. Inspect the sealing gasket and terminations during maintenance and disconnect power before servicing.
