The EP series combines a polypropylene body and magnetic float with an internal reed switch. As the liquid level changes, the float moves along the stem and changes the electrical contact state. Single-float models provide one sensing point; double-float models support two level positions.
Reverse the float orientation to configure normally open or normally closed operation, then verify the actual state after assembly. The threaded mounting suits compact water tanks, appliance reservoirs, humidifiers and compatible industrial-liquid systems.

|---|---|---|
| Operating and storage temperature | −30–85°C | −20–85°C |
| Contact power rating | 10W / 10VA | 20W for 100–265VAC loads; 10W for other loads |
| Maximum DC switching voltage | 200VDC | 200VDC |
| Maximum AC switching voltage | 140VAC | 265VAC RMS |
| Minimum breakdown voltage | 250VDC | 400VDC |
| Maximum DC switching current | 0.5A | 0.4A |
| Maximum AC switching current | 0.35A | 0.3A |
| Maximum carry current | 1.0A | 1.4A |
| Contact resistance | ≤0.1Ω | ≤0.1Ω |
| Insulation resistance | ≥10¹⁰Ω | ≥10¹⁰Ω |
| Typical contact capacitance | 0.2pF | 0.2pF |
Observe switching voltage, current and power limits together. Carry-current and breakdown-voltage values are separate from switching ratings. For a 220VAC control circuit, select the 2A1 option and keep the receiving relay load within its rated limits.

For an EP10010-2-48 request, confirm the required switching spacing and final drawing before ordering. Custom dimensions and configurations are available.

Choose the mounting thread, stem dimensions, number of floats and contact option for the application. Allow each float to move freely without rubbing against tank walls or deposits. Verify the NO/NC state and both switching points on a double-float assembly before service.
Use water, clean liquids or mildly corrosive media compatible with polypropylene. Check the actual temperature and chemical conditions, protect the cable and keep terminations dry. Use a suitably rated external relay or contactor for loads beyond the float contact’s capacity.
