The EM520 combines a sensitive differential-pressure sensor, a backlit dot-matrix LCD and a TPU protective cover for field measurements. It measures positive, negative and differential pressure in ventilation, air-conditioning, filter and pneumatic test applications. Up to 50 readings remain in memory after power-off, while maximum, minimum and average functions help summarize measurement sessions.

Pressure units include Pa, kPa, bar, oz/in², psi, inHg, mbar, mmHg, cmH₂O, ftH₂O, inH₂O and kgf/cm². Select the required unit before zeroing. HOLD freezes the displayed value; DIFF displays the current pressure minus the captured baseline. Long-press FUNCTION to cycle maximum, minimum and average measurement modes.
Press RECORD once to save a reading. Holding RECORD clears all saved readings. Stored measurements can be reviewed through the menu using the arrow keys. The English manual includes every unit resolution and the complete key and menu instructions.
Enable upper and lower pressure thresholds to make the LCD flash when the measurement falls outside the selected limits. HI indicates overrange: stop the measurement, as pressure beyond the instrument limit can damage the sensor.
In measurement mode, pressing any key except POWER activates the backlight for approximately 15 seconds. Choose manual shutdown, a five-minute timer or a ten-minute timer. The display timer resets to 00:00:00 at each startup and does not retain its setting after power-off.
A separately purchased compatible Pitot tube enables duct air-velocity measurements in m/s or fpm. Connect total pressure to the positive port and static pressure to the negative port. Set the air density for the operating conditions in kg/m³ or lb/ft³, and use the Pitot tube's applicable calibration.
Velocity readings below 3.0m/s are not a reliable reference for this meter. The Pitot tube is an additional accessory; the included package contains the meter, two hoses, a 9V battery, a TPU protective cover, a manual and an inspection certificate.
