ELE-804 High-Temperature Submersible Level Transmitter

Description

Gas-chamber measurement for hot liquids

ELE-804 measures liquid level through a stainless steel gas-collection chamber and capillary. Pressure is transmitted through the gas chamber so the sensing element does not directly contact the measured liquid. This construction supports applications involving heat, impurities, deposits and fouling.

The transmitter combines a metal armored electronics head, a sealed junction box and a 304 stainless steel capillary. Automatic temperature compensation and linear calibration support signal stability. Applications include hot-liquid storage tanks, heating and boiler systems, industrial process vessels, and water, oil or other liquids compatible with 304 stainless steel.

Configuration and installation

Select the measuring range, accuracy, output and connection material for the liquid and control system. The 120°C operating limit, 0-50°C compensation range and storage range describe different conditions and should be considered separately. The stainless steel gas chamber isolates the sensing element from direct liquid contact; the chamber, capillary and process connection must still suit the measured medium.

The head provides terminal access for the ordered electrical output. The attached drawing identifies ELE-804 among the models supporting the illustrated two-wire current, three-wire voltage and current/RS485 connection arrangements.

Digital and corrosion-resistant pressure-transfer variants

ELE-804S adds a local LCD to a stainless steel pressure-transfer configuration. ELE-804F and ELE-804SF use a corrosion-resistant pressure-transfer construction for liquids compatible with PTFE; ELE-804SF includes local digital indication.
