ELE-801A Hard Flat Diaphragm Pressure Transmitters

Description

Flat-diaphragm pressure measurement

The ELE-801A family uses a hard flat diaphragm to reduce blockage when measuring adhesives, viscous liquids, slurry and particle-containing fluids. The compact 304 stainless steel housing is designed for industrial applications where abrasion, impact or buildup can affect a conventional pressure port.

The digital 801AS variant, also designated ELE-801SA, adds an LCD for local pressure readings. A diffused silicon sensing assembly, three-point calibration at zero, midpoint and full scale, and signal conditioning support pressure monitoring in hydraulic, pneumatic and process equipment.

Diaphragm, sealing and indication

Hard flat diaphragm and threaded process connection
The flat measuring face reduces cavities where viscous material can accumulate.

The hard measuring face is intended to resist wear and impact while allowing cleaning. Industrial rubber sealing and a high-strength sealing ring help maintain the process seal. Select seal and wetted-material compatibility for the actual medium.

Digital LCD head and Hirschmann connector on the 801AS transmitter
The digital head provides local pressure indication above the transmitter body.
Silicon sensing core and stainless steel isolation diaphragm components
The sensing assembly uses a silicon core, stainless steel isolation diaphragm and silicone oil.

The internal circuit applies temperature compensation and linear correction to stabilize the output. Select the output and supply voltage together; the digital version has a 15–30VDC supply requirement for the listed current and voltage configurations.

Selection and installation

Use the threaded connection appropriate to the vessel or pipeline and leave access to the display and connector. Apply installation torque to the hexagonal fitting, isolate and depressurize the process before removal, and protect the diaphragm against direct mechanical contact.

The English family manual includes selection guidance, current-loop and voltage wiring, RS485 connector assignments and installation precautions. Follow the supplied nameplate and configured connector mapping when commissioning the transmitter.
