EDPS / EPDS Air Differential Pressure Switches

Description

Adjustable pressure switching for air systems

EDPS / EPDS switches convert differential or gauge pressure into an ON/OFF contact signal. A graduated adjustment dial sets the switching pressure, while separate high- and low-pressure hose ports connect to the monitored air system. Suitable applications include HVAC, ventilation, filter blockage detection, fan monitoring, cleanrooms, dust extraction, positive-pressure ventilation and negative-pressure exhaust systems.

Use air or nonflammable, noncorrosive gases. The white standard version has an ABS base; the green version uses a PA6 engineering-plastic base. A transparent polycarbonate cover protects the adjustment and electrical connections.

Dial adjustment and wiring

EDPS pressure adjustment dial and electrical terminals inside the housing
Align the required pressure scale value with the arrow to set the switching point.

Loosen the cover screw, route the cable through the cable gland and secure the conductors to the terminal block. Terminal 1 is normally closed, terminal 2 is normally open and terminal 3 is common. Connect the higher pressure to P1 (+) and the lower pressure or vacuum to P2 (-).

The contact assembly provides a changeover switching signal for the external control circuit.

Installation orientation

Factory calibration uses vertical mounting, with the pressure connections perpendicular to the horizontal plane. Horizontal mounting raises the switching point by 20Pa relative to that setting. Select the mounting orientation before calibration and avoid upside-down mounting for settings below 50Pa.

The removable transparent cover gives access to adjustment and wiring.

Accessories include self-tapping screws, screw terminal blocks, plastic pressure taps and flexible pressure tubing. The English manual provides the complete range table, dimension drawing, connection assignments and adjustment instructions.
