EDF-96A and EDF-96B controllers operate pumps according to the upper and lower liquid levels in a tank or reservoir. Probe arrangements support automatic filling, drainage, water-shortage protection and coordinated upper- and lower-tank control. Manual and automatic modes allow the operator to select the required operating method.
Use EDF-96A with a 220VAC supply and EDF-96B with a 380VAC supply. Both controllers have a compact PP enclosure and support DIN rail or wall mounting. Typical applications include water towers, wells, storage tanks, irrigation supplies and drainage systems.
| Model | Supply | Resistive load | Inductive load | Direct-load power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| EDF-96A | 220VAC, 50Hz | 10A | 5A | ≤700W |
| EDF-96B | 380VAC, 50Hz |
| Parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Enclosure | PP |
| Dimensions | 126×88×51mm |
| Mounting | DIN rail or wall; 35mm rail reference |
| Operation | Manual / automatic selection |
| Control functions | Filling, drainage, water-shortage protection and upper/lower-tank linkage |
| Detection | Stainless steel electrode probes; compatible float-switch signals |
| Level-control span | 1cm–20m, according to sensor positioning |
| Upgraded EDF-96A probe supply | Isolated 10VDC sensing circuit |
The level span describes the installation's control positions. Select probe or switch placement for the required start, stop and shortage levels. Keep the complete controller's load current and power within their applicable limits together.
The upgraded EDF-96A uses an isolation transformer for its low-voltage sensing circuit. An integrated control board processes the level signals and drives the output relay. Power and output indicators show the operating state.

| Terminal marking | Function |
|---|---|
| S1 / S2 | Controller power supply |
| L1 / L2 | Switched load output |
| A / B / C / D / E | Level-sensing connections; use the arrangement for the chosen control function |
The contactor diagrams connect the controller's load output to coil terminals A1/A2. For EDF-96A, use the illustrated 220VAC contactor coil and two-pole load path. For EDF-96B, use the illustrated 380VAC coil and three-phase contactor main circuit. The controller operates the coil; the contactor switches the pump supply.
Choose the contactor and protective devices for the motor current and starting duty. The 380V supply option does not mean that a three-phase motor connects directly to the controller's two output terminals. Follow the terminal labels and the complete wiring illustration.
Position the sensors at the required switching levels and use the probe arrangement printed on the controller for filling, drainage, shortage protection or two-tank operation. Keep sensing conductors separate from power wiring. Check the actual sensor type and controller voltage before connection.
Test each upper, lower and shortage condition before automatic operation. Confirm that the pump stops when the source tank is short of water and resumes according to the selected control arrangement. Isolate the supply before wiring or maintenance.
