The 400 series combines a sheathed thermocouple, fiberglass-insulated compensation lead and connector. A transition tube connects the sensing sheath to the lead; its threaded tail accommodates a tapered spring. Insulated, grounded and exposed junctions are available in 4.8mm or 6.4mm sheath diameters.
