Description

Four or eight voltage or current outputs

UF20 analog output modules provide two-wire differential outputs with 16-bit resolution. Choose a U model for configurable unipolar or bipolar voltage signals, or an I model for 0-20mA and 4-20mA signals. Each module occupies 12mm of rail width and uses push-in terminals. The internal system bus supplies 5V; the output circuit also requires a separate external 24V DC supply at A9 and B9.

Terminal assignments and wiring

Use the separate positive and negative terminals for each output. On four-channel versions, terminal pairs 5-8 are unused. Connect cable shields to the grounding arrangement; the module grounding spring contacts the 35mm DIN rail.

Configuration and output data

Digital configuration envelope-27648 to 27648; use the nominal code range for the selected signal range below

Each channel occupies two output bytes. Digital zero represents 4mA in the 4-20mA range and 0V or 0mA in the other ranges; a zero digital value must therefore be interpreted using the configured range.

Current range selection and codes

D is the signed digital code and I is current in mA. Nominal conversion formulas apply within the configured range; overflow and underflow entries identify range status.

Voltage range selection and codes

D is the signed digital code and U is voltage in V. The default selection is 0-10V. A dash in the code table indicates that no value is specified for that range and code.

Open the bottom latch with a screwdriver, position the module on the rail and close the latch before connecting power and signal cables. To remove a module, disconnect its cables, release the latch and remove it along the slot. If installation is difficult, remove the module and check for obstructions before trying again; do not force it into place.
