| Explanation: |
Series TZ-8 - Vertical limit switch series |
Actuator 104 - Plastic roller lever |
Cable entry Blank - Rubber tail sleeve; no suffix is added to the model code |
TZ-8 limit switches combine a metal housing, reinforced plastic cover and a rubber cable sleeve with a snap-action 1NO+1NC contact arrangement. Roller levers, adjustable rods, plungers and flexible spring actuators let the switch match the approach and travel of a moving machine part. Select the complete model by actuator geometry, available travel and required operating force.
The NO contact uses terminals 13-14 and the NC contact uses terminals 11-12. Direct opening applies only to the NC contact on the six lever models identified below. The spring and plunger models are not assigned that function.

The fixed series identifier is TZ-8, followed directly by the complete head code. The rubber cable sleeve has no suffix: TZ-8104 is a complete example. The metal-head codes 111M, 112M and 122M are selection options; the operating-characteristic tables below apply only to the individually identified models.

Inductive-load ratings use a power factor of 0.4 for AC or a time constant below 7ms for DC. Lamp-load ratings assume inrush up to ten times steady current; motor-load ratings assume inrush up to six times steady current.
OF is maximum operating force; RF is minimum release force. PT is maximum pretravel unless a tolerance is given, OT is minimum overtravel, MD is maximum differential travel unless a tolerance is given, and TT is minimum total travel. OP is the operating position measured from the datum in the dimensional drawing. Angular and linear travel are listed separately.

Apply force to flexible actuators within the outer third of their length, measured back from the tip. The 15±5° pretravel range has a 20° upper limit.
Use the model-specific outline drawing in the attached catalog when setting the actuator approach and mounting position. The standard body has four Ø4.2mm mounting holes with 21±0.2mm horizontal and 56±0.2mm vertical spacing; the TZ-8108H drawing specifies a 56±0.3mm vertical spacing and a different base profile. Threaded holes are M5×0.8; the standard drawings specify at least 7.5mm thread depth.
