Soft Starter Control Panel

Description

Overview

The soft starter control panel is intended for three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors. Its basic arrangement combines a soft starter, bypass contactor and circuit breaker to control starting and stopping while providing motor and short-circuit protection.

Control and operating data

  • Captured supply: three-phase 380V±15%, 50/60Hz.
  • Starting time and initial voltage can be selected for the load, with a configurable current limit.
  • Soft-stop and free-stop modes, bypass-contactor operation after starting, and sequential starting of multiple motors where engineered for the application.
  • Captured environment: fewer than 20 starts per hour, below 3000m altitude, -30-55°C and below 90%RH without condensation.
  • Available enclosure classes listed as IP20 and IP30.

Application guidance

The application table gives starting and stopping settings for representative loads. Final settings must follow motor and driven-load requirements rather than being treated as universal values.
