RPCF3 controllers sample the voltage and current of all three phases separately. They calculate capacitor switching demand from fundamental-frequency reactive power and support simultaneous, individual-phase and mixed compensation. This makes the compensation schedule selectable for balanced or unbalanced three-phase loads.
The controller displays total and fundamental power factor, together with the voltage, current, active power, reactive power and apparent power of the individual phases. Automatic and manual operation are available. Settings are entered digitally and retained through a power interruption. Overvoltage and undervoltage protection are included.
| Parameter | Specification |

| Rated current input | 5A |
| Frequency | 45-65Hz |
| Power factor display endpoints | 0.001 lagging to 0.001 leading |
| Active power measurement | 0-9999kW |
| Reactive power measurement | 0-9999kvar |
| Apparent power measurement | 0-9999kVA |
| Power factor target adjustment | 0.70 lagging to 0.70 leading |
| Undervoltage protection | 180VAC |
| Output contact capacity | 220VAC, 7A |
| Sensitivity | 20mA |
| Current input resistance | ≤0.01Ω |
| Maximum outputs | 16 circuits |
| Output coding | 12 selectable codes |
| Compensation schedules | Six selectable schedules; the RPCF3-12S examples below show five arrangements |
| Display | Four-digit red LED |
| Consumption | 10VA |
In the mixed arrangements, the individual compensation count is per phase: nine simultaneous circuits plus one circuit per phase, six plus two per phase, or three plus three per phase use twelve outputs. The three mixed arrangements share the same application and switching logic.
| Compensation arrangement | Load condition | Switching method |
|---|---|---|
| All simultaneous compensation | Three-phase powers are approximately balanced | Switch according to total three-phase reactive power |
| 9 simultaneous circuits and 1 individual circuit per phase | Three-phase powers differ moderately | Select simultaneous compensation using the phase with the lowest reactive power; add individual compensation when the remaining demand or imbalance requires it |
| 6 simultaneous circuits and 2 individual circuits per phase | ||
| 3 simultaneous circuits and 3 individual circuits per phase | ||
| All individual compensation, 4 circuits per phase | Severely unbalanced three-phase powers | Switch according to each phase's reactive power |
| Panel size (mm) | Panel cutout (mm) |
|---|---|
| 144×144 | 138×138 |
| 122×122 | 113×113 |
Mounting options include a plug-in arrangement secured by retaining screws and rail mounting. Select the panel size and the required output count together with the compensation schedule.
