JK intelligent power capacitors combine a monitoring and control unit, zero-cross switching, circuit protection and low-voltage shunt capacitors in one modular assembly. They serve 0.4kV networks and can operate individually or as a coordinated compensation system for local, individual or centralized reactive power correction.
Simultaneous three-phase compensation uses delta-connected capacitor sections; separate-phase compensation supports individual phase switching for unbalanced loads. Single-loop and dual-loop configurations are distinguished in the model code. The control and capacitor portions use upper and lower modular sections.

For example, JK-8CS/450-40(20+20) identifies the JK series, design code 8, dual-loop C construction, simultaneous three-phase compensation S, 450V capacitor rating and 40kvar total output comprising two 20kvar loops. The capacitor rating is distinct from the 380V system operating supply.
