JK-70AB Hanging Float Level Switches

Description

JK-70AB hanging-float level switches provide automatic filling control for water tanks, pools and water towers. Two suspended floats and adjustable locating positions establish the upper and lower switching levels. A pivoted switching mechanism responds to the movement of the float assembly.

Install the switch body securely with the float suspension hanging freely into the tank. Set the upper and lower locating positions for the required operating band. At the lower switching level, the mechanism closes the pump-control circuit; at the upper level, it opens the circuit to stop filling.

Electrical and Ambient Parameters

ParameterSpecification
Supply200VAC,50Hz
Ambient temperature−30°C to +80°C
Power consumption<1.5kW
Output making capacity220VAC,4A

Power consumption and output making capacity are separate specifications. The 220VAC,4A value describes the output switching rating; it does not specify a motor power in kW. Select the pump-control circuit and any required contactor for the actual load and starting conditions.

Float Action and Operating Band

Upper-level condition: the float-operated mechanism opens the filling-control circuit.
Hanging float switch at the lower water level
Lower-level condition: the mechanism closes the filling-control circuit to start replenishment.

Assembly and Installation

The assembly includes the switch housing, mounting bracket, suspension and two floats. Keep the moving parts clear of the tank wall and other obstructions. Set the water-level band through the locating positions, and specify the required suspension length when selecting an assembly.
