IC395 sockets combine four-finger receptacle contacts with long square terminals for wire-wrap connections. The range has dual-row bodies and a single-row strip configuration. Choose the contact count, width and contact-clip finish using the ordering options below.
| Field | Code | Selection |
|---|---|---|
| Contact count | 06, 08, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, 32, 40 | Corresponding total contact count, subject to the width option |
| Contact clip | B | Four fingers |
| Pin finish | T1 | Tin |
| Width D | N | 7.62mm; 6, 8, 14, 16, 18, 20 or 24 contacts |
| Width D | W | 15.24mm; 24, 28, 32 or 40 contacts |
| Single-row configuration | X | 1 × 40 positions only |
| Housing material | S | PBT |
| Contact-clip finish | F6 | 3µin gold |
| Contact-clip finish | T1 | Tin |
| Central support | S | With central support |
| Central support | X | Without central support |
The housing and support codes are separate fields, as are pin finish and internal contact-clip finish. The width limits above define the specified ordering combinations.

The 500VAC withstand test is separate from the 60V operating rating. No AC/DC classification is assigned to the 60V value.
| Dimension | Value |
|---|---|
| Contact pitch along each row | 2.54±0.1mm |
| Square terminal section | 0.64mm × 0.64mm |
| Overall axial length | 17.78mm |
| Housing axial dimension | 3.00mm |
| Housing top to contact shoulder | 4.90mm |
| Single-row transverse body dimension | 2.54mm |
| Dual-row strip illustration width | 5.08mm |
| Row spacing in the dual-row strip illustration | 2.54mm |
A is overall body length, B is the distance between the end-contact centres, C is overall transverse body width and D is the row spacing. Dimensions below are in millimetres; the header gives each dimension's tolerance.
| Total contacts | A ±0.5mm | B ±0.2mm | C ±0.3mm | D ±0.2mm |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 | 7.62 | 5.08 | 10.16 | 7.62 |

| 16 | 20.32 | 17.78 | 10.16 | 7.62 |
| 18 | 22.86 | 20.34 | 10.16 | 7.62 |
| 20 | 25.40 | 22.86 | 10.16 | 7.62 |
| 24 | 30.48 | 27.94 | 10.16 | 7.62 |
| 28, dimensional reference | 35.56 | 33.02 | 10.16 | 7.62 |
| 24 | 30.48 | 27.94 | 17.78 | 15.24 |
| 28 | 35.56 | 33.02 | 17.78 | 15.24 |
| 32 | 40.64 | 38.10 | 17.78 | 15.24 |
| 40 | 50.80 | 48.26 | 17.78 | 15.24 |
The 28-contact, 7.62mm-spaced outline is retained as a dimensional reference; the specified 28-contact order belongs to the 15.24mm width group. Likewise, the strip illustrations show a general position range, while ordering code X specifies the 40-position single row.
