Description

Power and signal connection options

HK inserts cover six contact layouts, from four or eight power contacts to mixed power and signal arrangements. Each configuration includes a protective-earth contact. Select the contact layout, male or female version, termination method and housing size together. The insert, suitable contacts and enclosure must match the selected configuration; housing-size designations alone do not establish interchangeability.

M and MC identify male inserts; F and FC identify female inserts. The 004/0 carrier has no signal contacts fitted; carrier positions marked 11 and 12 do not add two circuits to its four-pole configuration.

Electrical ratings by circuit group

All listed IEC ratings apply at pollution degree 3. Power and signal values belong to their respective contact groups. The 004/0 male and female voltage ratings differ, so assess both halves when selecting a connection.

The 004/2 impulse value is specified for the insert without a separate power/signal split. Do not use the highest rating in the family for every contact group.

For crimp versions, select the contact and crimp tooling for the conductor size and required finish. Strip length is a range for the configuration, not a single value for every contact.
