HD insert configurations

HD crimp inserts connect multiple conductors within heavy duty connector assemblies. Male MC and female FC versions are available in the configurations below. Select the housing size, electrical rating, contact layout and PE arrangement for the intended circuit. Crimp contacts are ordered separately and must match the conductor size.

Size 3A: 7+PE and 8-position inserts

The 7+PE and 8-position inserts have a 21.1mm square body dimension. Male depth is 31.8mm and female depth is 33.9mm. The 7+PE version provides a protective earth contact; the 8-position version provides eight circuit contacts for its lower voltage rating. Use the corresponding contact layout when assigning conductors.

Size 10A: 15-position inserts

HD-015 inserts have a 56mm by 22.9mm outline and 49.5mm by 16mm mounting centres. The male profile is 34mm deep; the female profile is 33mm deep. The figures show M3×10 fixing screws and the contact matrix.

25-position blocks and 50-position configurations

HD-025 uses one 25-position block for size 16A. HD-050 uses two blocks for size 32A. Each block measures 72.5mm by 22.9mm at the outline, with 66mm by 16mm mounting centres. Male depth is 34mm; female depth is 36.2mm. These are individual block dimensions.

HD-040 uses one 40-position block for size 16B. HD-080 uses two blocks for size 32B. Each block has an 84.5mm by 34mm outline and 77.5mm by 27mm mounting centres. The illustrated male depth is 34.1mm and female depth is 37.6mm.

64-position blocks and 128-position configurations

HD-064 uses one 64-position block for size 24B. HD-128 uses two blocks for size 48B. Each block has a 111mm by 34mm outline and 104mm by 27mm mounting centres. The male side profile is dimensioned at 34.1mm. The female drawing shows a 37.5mm body dimension and a further 1.2mm projection at the mating face.
