HD-2612D is a hand-operated ratchet crimping tool for solid, closed-barrel contacts. Four indenters create eight impressions around the contact barrel. An eight-position selector controls the crimp setting, while interchangeable positioners locate the contact in the tool head.

The positioners support corresponding solid contacts used in Deutsch DT, DTM and DTP connector arrangements. Select the positioner and crimp setting for the actual contact and conductor combination. Contact size numbers identify the contact family and are distinct from conductor AWG sizes.
The tool is supplied with three positioners. A go/no-go gauge and contact or wedgelock removal tools are not included.
