H2M-002 carriers provide two mounting positions for separate shielded contact assemblies. Select the male-side or female-side carrier to match the required mating arrangement. The carrier drawing codes end in MC and FC; the corresponding product designations are also shortened to H2M-002-M and H2M-002-F.
| Carrier | Side | Body dimensions | Positions |
|---|---|---|---|
| H2M-002-MC | Male side | 30.2×29.2×34mm | 2 |
| H2M-002-FC | Female side | 30.2×29.2×34mm | 2 |
The 30.2mm body dimension excludes the projecting locating ears. Assembly illustrations show separate contacts and housing components; select these components for the intended configuration.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Material | Reinforced polycarbonate |
| Insulation resistance | ≥1010Ω |
| Limiting temperatures | -40°C to +125°C |
| Flammability according to UL94 | V0 |
| Mechanical working life | ≥500 mating cycles |
The electrical ratings below apply to the selected contact assembly, rather than to the empty carrier. Each assembly has its own signal contact count in addition to shielding.
| Contact assembly | Contacts | Rated current | Rated voltage | Impulse voltage | Pollution degree |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Q-Coax | 4 + shielding | 10A | 50V | 0.8kV | 3 |
| High Density Q-Coax | 8 + shielding | 5A | 50V | 0.8kV | 3 |
Electrical data are stated according to EN61984.
| Contact assembly property | Value |
|---|---|
| Insulator | Polycarbonate |
| Outer conductor | Nickel-plated zinc alloy |
| Contact resistance | ≤4mΩ |
| Limiting temperatures | -40°C to +85°C |
| Flammability according to UL94 | V0 |
| Cable diameter | 3–9.5mm |
| Contact type | Current | Material and finish | Contact resistance | Wire size | AWG |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| D-Sub crimp contact | 5A | Hard-gold-plated copper alloy | ≤3mΩ | 0.09–0.52mm² | 28–20 |
| D crimp contact | 10A | Hard-gold-plated copper alloy | ≤3mΩ | 0.14–2.5mm² | 26–14 |
The assembled connector must remain within the limits of its selected contacts, cable and housing. In particular, the contact assembly has a lower upper temperature limit than the carrier.
