Direct-On-Line Starter Panel for Multiple Motors

Overview

A direct-on-line starter panel connects each motor directly to the supply for full-voltage starting. This project configuration uses 220V, 60Hz circuits with a main breaker and separate starters. Starting current can reach approximately five to eight times nominal current.

Motor groups in the project example

One panel arrangement for seven 3kW motors.
One arrangement for 1kW, 2kW, 3kW and two 1.5kW motors.
One related soft-starter arrangement for 3kW, 4kW and two 11kW motors.

Engineering use

The cabinet photos, panel layouts and circuit drawings document these specific arrangements. A new panel must be selected from the actual motor schedule, starting-current limits, protective-device coordination, control voltage and enclosure conditions.
