CJX2 contactors provide remote switching and frequent starting or stopping of three-phase AC motors. The family operates on 50/60Hz circuits up to 660V. The selection tables below cover 19 models from 9A to 620A at 380V in AC-3 duty; current ratings at 660V and in AC-4 duty must be selected separately.
A compatible thermal overload relay or electronic protective device can be combined with the contactor to form a magnetic starter. Stackable auxiliary contacts, pneumatic delay contacts and mechanical interlocks support delayed switching, interlocked contactor assemblies and star-delta starters. Screw fixing and 35mm or 75mm rail mounting depend on the frame and accessory arrangement.
AC-3 and AC-4 are different utilization categories. Use the rating for the actual supply voltage and switching duty. Conventional thermal current is a separate heating limit and does not replace the applicable motor-switching current.

Frequency limits are operations per hour. Endurance figures in the next table are multiples of 10,000 operations: for example, 100 means 1,000,000 operations. The mechanical frequency and endurance relate to operation without switching the motor load. A dash means that the selection table gives no fuse model for that frame.

The family specification references IEC60947-4-1 and GB14048.4. Select the overload relay, short-circuit protection and control coil for the complete starter circuit; a frame designation alone does not specify the coil supply.
Dimensions below are in millimetres. Cmax is the contactor depth, C1 is the depth with an F4 auxiliary block, and C2 is the depth with an SK2-2/3 accessory. The D115/D150/D170 drawing uses the same symbols as the smaller frames; retain the exact assembly clearance required by the selected accessory.
