Description

CDT6-M Multifunction DIN Rail Time Relays

CDT6-M combines ten selectable functions in an 18mm-wide DIN rail timer. Five modes respond to the supply, four timed modes use the S control input and one mode converts input pulses into alternating output states. Applications include industrial equipment, lighting, heating, motor and fan control circuits.

Three front knobs select the function, time range and delay value. The timing range extends from 0.1s to 10 days, with separate ON/OFF positions. Choose one or two changeover contacts and the required contact rating and supply through the complete model code.

All four common models provide modes A–J. The web labels CDT6-M1 and CDT6-M2 identify one- and two-contact versions; the full code additionally specifies current rating and supply. Other choices follow the ordering guide.

Ten Operating Functions

ModeFunctionOperation
APower-on delayApplying Un starts delay t; the output closes when t expires. Removing Un opens the output. S has no effect.
BTimed disconnection after power-onApplying Un closes the output immediately and starts t. The output opens after t, or immediately if Un is removed first. S has no effect.
CRepeating cycle, OFF firstApplying Un starts an OFF interval t, followed by an ON interval t. The cycle repeats until Un is removed. S has no effect.
DRepeating cycle, ON firstApplying Un closes the output for t, followed by an OFF interval t. The cycle repeats until Un is removed. S has no effect.
EOff-delay, S falling edgeWith Un present, closing S closes the output. Opening S starts t; the output opens when t expires. Closing S again during timing resets the delay.
FTimed output, S rising edgeWith Un present, closing S closes the output and starts t. The output opens after t. Further S closures during timing do not restart the delay.
GTimed output, S falling edgeWith Un present, opening S closes the output and starts t. The output opens after t. Further S transitions during timing do not restart the delay.
HOn-delay and off-delayWith Un present, closing S starts a delay before the output closes. Opening S starts a delay before the output opens. Both delays use the selected t.
IPulse conversionWith Un present, each S closure changes the output state.
JDelayed pulseApplying Un starts delay t. After t, the output closes for 0.5s and then opens.
All ten CDT6-M function descriptions and timing charts A through J, including rising and falling edge behavior and 0.5s pulse output
Original function charts preserve the supply Un, control signal S, output R and delay t relationships. E is retriggerable; F/G keep the current delay after further control transitions. J has a fixed 0.5s output pulse after the selected delay.

Delay Ranges and Accuracy

Supply connects to A1/A2; S is the control input for applicable modes. First output: 15 common, 16 NC, 18 NO. Second output on M2: 25 common, 26 NC, 28 NO.
CDT6-M 90mm by 18mm by 65mm dimension drawing with terminal arrangement and side profile
The 18mm-wide module is 90mm high and 65mm deep. The side profile also identifies 31mm and 19mm upper sections; the front view locates the terminal rows and three adjustment knobs.

The selection document lists CCC to GB/T14048.5 and CE to EN60947-5-1; certificate document numbers are available from CNTD. Use the applicable AC-15 duty rating when selecting contacts for the load.

The manufacturer's restrictions require specially designed equipment and written confirmation for high reliability energy systems, applications involving personal safety or major property risk, harsh or outdoor environments, fire or explosion risks, and military or aerospace use.
