CDP2-A monitors load current and opens its power relay when the selected overcurrent threshold is exceeded. The single-line display shows current with 1% stated accuracy. A recovery timer and a configurable limit on consecutive overcurrent events support automatic reconnection control. Choose a 40A, 63A or 80A maximum operating-current version.
The 36mm-wide protector uses a 32-bit controller and magnetic latching relay. It operates across an 80–350V, 45–70Hz supply range at ≤1W power consumption. This is the current-protection member of the CDP2 family; the wide working-voltage range is its supply specification.
| Complete model | Maximum operating current | Current-protection range in general table | Function |
|---|---|---|---|
| CDP2-A/40A | 40A | 0.1–40A | Overcurrent protection |
| CDP2-A/63A | 63A | 0.1–63A | |
| CDP2-A/80A | 80A | 0.1–80A |
In CDP2-A/63A, C is the fixed prefix, DP2 identifies the family, A selects current protection and 63A specifies the current rating. The hyphen and slash are both part of the ordering code.
| Ordering field | Options | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Prefix | C | Fixed brand prefix |
| Family | DP2 | Voltage/current protector family, two-module enclosure width |
| Function | A | Overcurrent protection; this page's three models |
| V | Overvoltage and undervoltage protection | |
| VA | Overvoltage, undervoltage and overcurrent protection | |
| VAW | Voltage/current protection with energy and power display | |
| Current rating | 40A / 63A / 80A | Maximum operating current of the complete model |

The settings below apply to the illustrated 63A configuration. Its P1 current adjustment is 1.0–63.0A with a 63A default. The model table provides the family current-range references; use the menu limits for the selected current-rating version when configuring the device.
| Menu | Parameter | Default | Adjustment range | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | Overcurrent threshold | 63A | 1.0–63.0A | Sets the current level for overcurrent protection on the illustrated 63A unit |
| P2 | Consecutive overcurrent-event limit | 0 | 0–20 | Automatic reclosing stops after the configured number of overcurrent events is exceeded |
| P3 | Recovery delay | 30s | 1–999s | Sets the delay before reconnection following overcurrent protection |
The family trip-delay reference is 0.1–600s. The A-version P1–P3 controls adjust the current threshold, consecutive-event limit and recovery delay, without a separate trip-delay menu item.
The front panel has a current/menu display, output indicator, recovery indicator, overcurrent indicator, SET key, up/down keys and power button. Press SET to cycle through P1, P2 and P3, use the arrow keys to modify the selected value, and hold SET to return to the normal display. Holding an arrow key in the menu provides rapid adjustment.

The housing occupies two module widths, with an electrical pole arrangement of 1P+N. The drawings show two connection arrangements: supply at the top with load at the bottom, or supply at the bottom with load at the top. N is on the left and L on the right; use the corresponding IN/OUT terminal markings.
| Wiring-guide current reference | Conductor cross-sectional area |
|---|---|
| 32A | 6mm² |
| 40A | 10mm² |
| 50A | 10mm² |
| 63A | 16mm² |
| 80A | 25mm² |
These are conductor areas, not diameters. The 32A and 50A entries are installation-reference rows; the complete A models listed here have 40A, 63A and 80A ratings.
