Description

CBX22 Enclosures for 22mm Panel Operators

CBX22 button boxes provide one to five mounting positions for 22mm pushbuttons, selector switches or indicator devices. Two enclosure depths are specified: S for 60mm and H for 73mm. The deeper H version provides more space behind the cover for the selected operator and wiring. The photographed boxes have gray covers; a yellow cover is an ordering option.

The standard protection option is IP65, with P denoting IP67. Select the protection version as part of the enclosure order, then match the fitted operators and cable entries to the completed assembly. Opening count, depth, cover color and protection are separate choices; the number of openings does not specify a prewired control function.

Model and Dimension Comparison

All dimensions below are in millimeters. Width and length tolerances are ±0.15; enclosure height tolerance is ±0.2. The front operator holes are Ø22.4. Asterisks identify dimensions inferred from the common spacing relationships, as explained beneath the table.

* Dimensional interpretation: the three-opening width and length are taken as 73.6 and 153.6 from the common enclosure width and 40mm length progression; the printed three-opening drawing omits the final .6. The five-opening longitudinal fixing pitch is taken as 200 from the 40mm progression of the fixing centers and common end offsets; its printed value repeats 160. These three values are inferred, so verify them against the actual enclosure before fabrication or drilling.

Configuration Examples and Fit

CBX22-S1 identifies a 60mm enclosure with one 22mm operator opening, gray cover and standard IP65 option. CBX22-S1Y-P selects the same depth and opening count with a yellow cover and IP67 protection option. The PDF includes S and H dimension variants through five openings, extending the four gray S models shown in the product photographs.

Check the rear length of the chosen operator, contact blocks and wiring against the S or H enclosure depth. Use the complete mechanical drawings for mounting details, side entry positions and cover layout. Specify the complete enclosure code and the operators required for the application; the enclosure selection does not itself define lamp voltage, contact arrangement or circuit wiring.
