BSMJ 3YN rectangular shunt capacitors provide an accessible neutral point so the A, B and C phase sections can be switched independently. This arrangement supports reactive power compensation for unbalanced three-phase loads. The internal star arrangement brings out A, B, C and N. Total capacitance CΣ is the sum of the three phase capacitances.
