BGMJ gas-filled dry capacitors use metallized polypropylene film in aluminium cans for low-voltage power factor correction. The three-phase model schedules cover 230V, 280V, 400V, 450V, 525V and 690V ratings. Match the complete model to the electrical duty, terminal configuration, case diameter, height and base stud.

Connections and ventilation
Use flexible cable with a temperature rating of at least 90°C. Connect each parallel capacitor through its own cable from the contactor side; do not use a capacitor terminal as the junction for feeding another capacitor.
Separate capacitor feeds from the contactor, compared with an unsuitable looped terminal connection.
Provide bottom-to-top cabinet airflow. The ventilation guide uses approximately 2.5W/kvar for the combined capacitors, contactors, fuses and connections, or 8W/kvar when series reactors are included. These are cabinet heat-planning figures, not capacitor dielectric-loss ratings. The class-D ventilation example limits the air surrounding the capacitors to +55°C; use the selected unit's marked temperature category and service limits.
Cable selection guide
Values are conductor cross sections in mm². Al denotes aluminium and Cu copper. A dash means no value is listed. Check the final conductor choice against installation conditions and the selected terminal arrangement.

Before access, isolate both main and control power, allow the initial 1-minute discharge delay, and verify that the capacitor is fully discharged before touching the terminals.
