Solderless circuit prototyping

BB474A through BB474O cover compact breadboards, single-matrix boards and larger assemblies with aluminium baseboards and binding posts. The contact grid is 2.54mm. Select the matrix arrangement, distribution-strip placement and mounting envelope together with the total tie-point count.

Tie points are insertion holes, not independent circuit nodes. The drawings below show physical layouts and dimensions; they do not define a complete internal continuity map or guarantee continuity across gaps in distribution strips. Check the required connections and rail breaks before wiring a circuit.

The 500VAC value is a short-duration dielectric test, not a continuous working-voltage rating. Rated current, working voltage and acceptable wire-size range are unspecified. The material flammability grade does not establish a product certification.

BB474A compact board

The 270-point board has an 82.26mm body length, 83.76mm length including the projection and 47.3mm overall width. Its mounting-hole centres are 70.26mm × 33.02mm, with Ø3.5mm holes and Ø6.0mm recesses. Overall thickness is 8.2mm.

BB474B matrix board

The 630-point matrix measures 165mm × 37.1mm with an 8.4mm overall thickness. The central separation is 4.8mm; the board does not show separate outer distribution strips.

BB474F and BB474G modular boards

BB474F has 830 tie points, a 55.9mm overall width and 8.4mm thickness. Its 134mm dimension locates the indicated end features and is not an overall-length dimension. BB474G has 840 tie points and a 173mm × 65.6mm outline with 8.4mm thickness. Each layout includes a central split matrix and outer distribution strips.

BB474H through BB474K two-matrix assemblies

These assemblies combine two split matrices with distribution strips, binding posts and an aluminium baseboard. BB474H uses the 165mm matrix format; BB474I, BB474J and BB474K show the 173mm format with different strip arrangements. Reference dimensions below describe the baseboard plan, not binding-post height.

BB474L and BB474M have three main split matrices; BB474N and BB474O have four. Additional distribution strips run between matrices, around the outer edges and along the binding-post end. L and N use the 173mm matrix format, while M and O use the 165mm format. The drawings preserve the different rail placements and backing construction.
