Description

Side-entry bases for heavy-duty connectors

These surface mount bases cover 6B, 10B, 16B, 24B, 32B and 48B housing sizes. Select the housing size, body height, locking arrangement, cover and cable-entry thread together. SF identifies a standard body and SFH a high body. A 1L base carries one locking latch, a 2L base carries two latches, and a 4B base has four studs for engagement by the mating locking arrangement. Housing size alone does not establish compatibility with an insert or mating hood.

Standard 6B mounting centres are 70×40mm; the mounting-hole diameter is not specified. The latch needs 17mm of movement beyond the base edge. Covered versions have a 23mm cover projection and 68mm cover swing. High 6B bases have Ø5.5mm mounting holes on 70×45mm centres, 15mm latch movement, and a 21mm cover projection with 67mm cover swing.
