Description

A-coded M5 device connections

This family comprises twelve panel receptacle configurations with an M5×0.5 mating interface and either three or four contacts. FF denotes female contacts and MM denotes male contacts. Solder-cup, straight PCB-pin and individual lead-wire terminations are separate configurations; select the complete model rather than inferring the termination from a partial code.

All model patterns begin CC01-M5A-XXP-. In the tables below, the suffix completes that pattern, and XXP is replaced by 03P or 04P.

FF-SD-SFAXX, FF-SD-SH001 and FF-SP-SH001 require a part-specific panel fit check. No panel machining diameter is assigned to these three variants here.

Body lengths are the indicated axial dimensions and exclude extending contacts or lead wires. The 5.5mm and 4mm fitting references shown on applicable outlines are not specified panel-thickness limits. Front SP-SH001 male and female variants are listed as unshielded; no shielding configuration is assigned to the other variants.

Contact arrangement and PCB layout

The three-contact option uses contact numbers 1, 3 and 4. The four-contact option uses 1, 2, 3 and 4. Male and female mating faces are mirrored; use the exact contact-face view when wiring. Lead-wire colors and conductor cross-sections are unspecified.

The three-contact footprint occupies three positions on the grid. Its orientation must follow the matching model drawing; do not substitute the face-view orientation for the PCB view.

Lead-wire lengths

Length codes are provided for FF-SD-SFAXX, FF-SD-SFBXX, MM-SD-SFAXX and MM-SD-SHAXX only. Their final XX field specifies 01–99 for a nominal length of 1–99m, shown separately as L in the drawings. Jacket composition and shielding are unspecified for these lead-wire options.
