Description

Single and stepped PCB connections

The 500 family connects field wiring directly to a soldered PCB through a screw-operated rising clamp. TB91 models use 5.0mm pitch and TB93 models use 5.08mm pitch. Base, H and HH versions provide one row at different heights; A/B, AA/BB and A3/B3 versions arrange the terminals in two or three stepped levels. A and B variants have different stagger directions: use the exact footprint.

Two-level assemblies contain 4–48 terminals and three-level assemblies contain 6–72 terminals when each level has the stated 2–24 positions. The 500V code visible in the base-model attachments is an alternate drawing designation for the base 500 configuration.

TB93-500A3/5.08 uses a 6mm stripping length. Its attached 5.0mm reference drawing has a different 5–6mm note and does not define the 5.08mm version. TB93-500HH/5.08 uses the 28–12AWG model specification; the attached 5.0mm reference sheet does not establish its conductor range. The tabulated UL and IEC values are separate declared conditions, not interchangeable ratings or evidence of a particular certification.

Single-row dimensions and footprints

Dimensions are in millimetres. The nominal row length is pitch × n and the first-to-last pin span is pitch × (n−1), where n is the number of positions in that row. Solder tails project 3.5±0.3mm. Pin width and thickness are 1.0mm and 0.8mm where shown. Reference edges and end offsets vary by model.

TB91-500H 5.0mm dimensions
TB91-500H/5.0 raised single-row body. The 1.56mm side-view offset and 1.6mm PCB offset are retained as drawn.
TB93-500H 5.08mm dimensions
TB93-500H/5.08 raised body with its own end offset and 12.1mm depth.

TB93-500HH 5.08mm dimensions
TB93-500HH/5.08 uses this 5.08mm layout. The separate HH reference PDF is labelled TB91/5.0 and has a different transverse pin position; it is not a TB93-500HH footprint.

Two-level and three-level layouts

VersionsNominal body depthSpacing between PCB rowsPCB hole diameter

AA and BB at either pitch23mm10.16mm
A3 and B3 at either pitch31.8mm10.16mm and 15.24mm between successive rows1.5mm where dimensioned

Rows are staggered by half a pitch. Check the direction in the selected A or B drawing. Dimensions that describe a single row do not equal the complete staggered assembly envelope. The B3 5.0mm drawing specifies a 36.6±0.3mm upper height; a 36.8mm nominal value appears in related tall-body illustrations and should not replace that model-specific callout.

TB91-500A3/5.0: three staggered terminal levels.
TB91-500B3 three-level dimensions
TB91-500B3/5.0: three-level B arrangement; consult its PDF for the 36.6±0.3mm upper height.
TB93-500A3 three-level dimensions
TB93-500A3/5.08: use this 5.08mm layout. The attached A3 reference PDF is dimensioned at 5.0mm and does not establish a 5.08mm PCB footprint.
TB93-500B3 three-level dimensions
TB93-500B3/5.08: use the PCB span 5.08 × (n−1) with n positions per row. The retained front-view N/2 formula is inconsistent with the three-row layout and is not used for selection.

General drawing tolerances

Apply these general values only where a matching drawing has no individual tolerance. Specific ±0.3mm callouts take precedence. Values do not validate the mismatched HH and A3 reference attachments for a different pitch.
