Description

Standard, raised and two-level PCB connections

The 381 family uses screw-operated rising clamps and through-hole PCB solder tails. TB11 models have 3.5mm pitch and TB17 models have 3.81mm pitch. The base version has one connection level, H raises that level above the board, and A/B provide two staggered levels with opposite lateral offsets. Select the complete model and its corresponding board layout; matching pitch alone does not establish the same footprint.

Electrical ratings

IEC ratings below apply at overvoltage category III and pollution degree 2. Each model has a 130V rating and 2.5kV impulse rating under that condition. Ratings for category III/pollution degree 3 and category II/pollution degree 2 are unspecified. UL values are separate ratings; an unspecified use group must not be treated as an approval for every use group.

TB17-381A/3.81 additionally specifies a 2000VAC withstand test for 1 minute. This test voltage is not its operating voltage. UL group C and D values are unspecified throughout the family.

PCB outlines and solder tails

For each level, the nominal length is pitch × N and the first-to-last contact span is pitch × (N−1), with N defined by that level's drawing. A/B layouts have staggered rows; do not substitute the single-level pattern or assume that the order position code represents the combined count across both levels.

The standard and H footprints specify Ø1.3mm PCB holes. H bodies have an 8.82mm lower depth reference and a 7.6mm upper depth reference. Their PCB pin line is 1.2mm from the indicated edge. The TB17-381A footprint also specifies Ø1.3mm holes, but its transverse row spacing is not established here; finalize that footprint against the selected part before PCB fabrication.

Order configuration

Specify the TB11 or TB17 model, structural suffix, pitch, position count, color and required screw configuration. The XXP position field is limited to the 02–24 range for these models. The model-specific document uses Y for color and 00A for the customer configuration; retain the complete agreed code when ordering.
