The 2KDR family combines straight-through spring wire connections with a pluggable mating interface. Each model has one row at 5.08mm pitch and 2–24 poles. The actuator buttons operate the conductor springs; model suffixes identify the end arrangement.

The mating-body longitudinal end reference is 3.5mm. The plain and G drawings also identify a 1mm mating-pin detail. G latch features project beyond the dimensioned core body.
